missions banquet November 19, 2008
what a great turn out it is going to be. we have over 180 adults and 55 children reserved for the missons banquet. that is fantastic! it is going to be a great night. i was just talking to maurice last night about his first trip to uganda. we talked about the excuses that came up before making a decision to go and the circumstances that popped up after he made a decision to go. but he said he had determined he would go no matter what. he said the pretrip preparation made by the team was a great help in giving him an idea what it would be like. he said that everytime he looks back on it, a smile comes on his face. he and his daughter ashley will be sharing his story with us this sunday. make sure to be there. love you all pastor john
Shop Girls November 11, 2008
Hi, Ladies of Winamac!! We are going places. I am so excited about your hunger for God. We have a ladies group the 1st Sat. of the month called Shop Girls, seeking Hope and Overcoming with Prayer. We need HOPE in these troubled times! Jesus Christ is our hope. If we agree together in prayer, much can be accomplished. Nov. 1st Shop Girls was great. Bible study, fellowship and prayer. Everyone was encouraged. Plan to attend Shop Girls Dec. 6, 10:00 AM. Don’t miss whal God is doing. We all need love and encouragement!!

refreshing November 11, 2008
i found it to be refreshing to see pres. bush welcome pres. elect obama to the white house. we went through two years ( a long time) of fighting during the campaign. they certainly showed each other respect. I realize that it is important for me to also respect our new prersident even if i dont agree with everything.
