It’s great to be back!! Our time off has drawn Debbie and I closer together. I told her that I was as excited to be with her as I was when we were 19 years old. That sure gave me many brownie points! When we saw the beauty of the rocky mountains it was obvious that God is a great architect. It didn’t look like it happened by some kind of explosion. I’m also thankful for the church, the ministry continued on without us. That says a lot for the church. God bless you all.

In these verses, the awesome part is who we are: ministers and priests anointed with purpose to preach good news to the poor (poor being anyone who doesn’t know Jesus as Savior and Lord). To me that means we gotta tell those God puts in our path the Gospel through relationships built through words backed up with action.
These powerful words from Isaiah tell us what we are sent, equipped, and enabled to do: bring wholeness to broken hearts, freedom to the addicted, release for prisoners, comfort to those who mourn & grieve, and to crown them with beauty (no ashes), oil of joy (no mourning), and robe these who are free with praise (no despair).
We at the Winamac campus have our blatant purpose mapped out in these words from God spoken to us by Pastor John. All of us know who we gotta go to: family members, fellow employees, friends, and anyone we talk to each day. God promises He will give the words to speak. Now we just gotta hear Him and get ‘er done!
Trista Price shared with us a way to bring the Gospel to the Hoffa family in Winamac. This young family of four recently lost their home in a fire this week. She handed out lists of their needs. This Sunday boxes will be placed in the church for collecting toiletries, paper products, and food staples.
God shows up on Thursdays at 6:30 pm through Praise and Worship, Prayer, the Word, and great relationship -building time. If you haven’t, why not? What’s holding you back? We all need to get connected – Thursday pm is an incredible time & God makes it happen!

Welcome to OUR Winamac blog! Pastors John and Debbie have been on a break to seek God and enjoy each other for three weeks. Let’s suprise Pastor John and tell him what has been going on in the church family and in your life personally while he has been gone.
